Any personal data provided by you to me, the therapist (Claudia Torres) through any means (verbal, written or in electronic form will be held and processed in accordance with the data protection principles set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation for the purposes for which you have given consent and to provide the services you have requested from me, the therapist.

What do I use your information for?

When you come for an individual session you will fill a consultation / consent form that collects your personal details like your name, address, phone number, date of birth, email and also information about any medical conditions or medications that you take. I might take note of any major issues in your life that you chose to reveal.

I use information held about you in the following way:

• To provide clients with the professional service requested from me.

• To offer suitable appointments.

• To notify you about changes to your appointments and other changes of the service.

• To not work in areas of your body that should not receive pressure

• To understand what events and patterns are affecting your well-being and to work accordingly to best meet your needs.

After the session I will write down the session events so I can keep track of what’s working, what’s not and find useful suggestions for you as we go along.

What information do I share?

I will not share any information about you with other organizations or people except in the following situations:

• Consent – I may share your information with professional careers or others whom you have requested or agreed I should contact.

• Serious harm – I may share your information with the relevant authorities if I have reason to believe that this may prevent serious harm being caused to you or another person.

• Compliance with law – I may share your information where I am required to by law or by the regulations and other rules to which I am subject.

How do I keep your information safe?

All information you provide to me is stored as securely as possible inaccessible to anyone else. All electronic records are stored on my own on-site computer, all access to which requires password-protected authentication, or by reputable service providers using secure internet ‘cloud’ technology.

Your identifiable personal information is kept separately from any session notes and other descriptive material. Personal contact details, client notes and other documentation are destroyed / deleted after 7 years of no contact or updates.

Cookies

The website www.onebodytherapy.co.uk uses cookies that don’t collect uniquely identifying information but assist in the website experience to the user. The same applies to Google analytics cookies. Neither uniquely identified an individual but both are a necessary piece of functionality for the smooth running of the website.

Your rights

You have the right to ask me to provide a copy of the information held by me in my records (Subject Access Request). I am obliged to provide this information within 30 days. You may withdraw your consent for me to hold and process your data at any time. However, if you do this while actively receiving Amanae™ treatment, your sessions would have to end. You can withdraw your consent by emailing that says:

“I wish to withdraw my consent for the Processing of Personal Data by the therapist Claudia Torres. I confirm that I understand this may mean that the therapist Claudia Torres will not be able to continue offering her services to me with immediate effect.”

Changes to this policy

From time to time, it may be necessary to review and revise this policy. I reserve the right to change the policy at any time and, should this occur, the amendment will be posted on the website www.onebodytherapy.co.uk
